Pro Driver Series: Our ultimate for looks and stopping - If you are looking for the ultimate in looks but also expect the ultimate in performance, then you need our Pro Driver Series. This complete kit is engineered to work with 17” and larger wheels. It utilizes larger 4-piston billet aluminum calipers along with 13” cross-drilled and slotted rotors. All of the brackets and hubs are machined T-6061 billet aluminum for increased strength and durability. Every component is the best available to provide the looks and handle the most aggressive of driving. If you demand the best, stop looking!

For the Pro Driver Series, we wanted a caliper that had stopping capability like nothing we have ever offered. But we also knew you would want a caliper that had a presence inside the wheel. The calipers are CNC machined from billet aluminum. It uses four stainless steel pistons that are double sealed for both pressure and weather meeting D.O.T. specifications. The caliper is finished in an attractive clear anodized finish. We even go as far as using stainless steel abutments keeping the pads from wearing the aluminum body while keeping pad movement and noise to a minimum.

Precision:

All of the brackets along with the hubs are machined from T-6061 billet aluminum and then finished with a black hardcoat finish. This gives your 1969 Chevrolet Impala a brake upgrade with not only good looks, but a bracket that can be held to exacting tolerances making the installation that much easier on your existing OEM spindles.

Our Pro Driver Series brake conversion kit for the 1969 Impala uses only the highest quality components. Our one-piece rotors are directionally veined and also slotted and drilled for better cooling and stability over straight veins. For the rotors, we provide high quality Timken bearings that are greased with Red Line Synthetic grease and will provide years of trouble free driving.

When you receive a Pro Driver Series brake kit, you get everything necessary to install the system on your '69 Impala. Everything from the dust caps to the stainless steel braided hoses and everything in between. If you purchase a power kit, you get the booster/master combination and a combination valve. Go with a manual kit and get the master cylinder and push rod along with the combination valve.

Fitment:

Because this is a brake package with a larger rotor and caliper, wheel fitment is something that requires careful attention. The brake system requires that your '69 Chevrolet Impala have a minimum of a 17” wheel. To aid in wheel fitment and selection, we have available a brake template to use inside your existing wheels or when ordering new wheels. Simply download the file from our website or have one of our salespeople email it to you.

Why are disc brakes better than drum brakes?
Disc brakes are not subject to fade from heat or water. Disc brakes do not drift out of adjustment.

What kind of brake fluid should I use?
DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid is recommended. DOT 5 or silicone brake fluid should not be used.

Does my new master cylinder need to be bench bled?
Yes, any time a new master cylinder is being installed it will have to be bench bled.

How much vacuum do I need for a power brake system?
You will need to have 18" Hg with the car at idle.

I just purchased a power disc brake conversion kit. Is the booster pin already set for my master cylinder?
All of the power disc brake conversion kits and booster / master cylinder kits we sell have the booster pin correctly set for the master cylinder.

What is a combination valve?
A combination valve incorporates metering and proportioning into one valve providing all necessary valving for disc/drum systems.

What are residual valves?
Residual valves maintain pressure on the brake lines. These are used for under-the-floor master cylinder brake systems. They are available in two versions, 2 lb. for disc brakes and 10 lb. for drum brakes.
