Legend Series: Our most cost effective option - The Master Power Brakes Legend Series is a complete brake system to upgrade your rear drum brakes to the reliability and performance of disc brakes. These kits consist of OEM style cast-iron calipers with a built-in park brake assembly along with vented rotors. The Legend Series is our most cost effective kit and a great upgrade to your classic vehicle. Installation is a weekend project that will pay dividends for years to come.

Looking for a simple, straight-forward brake upgrade for your 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle? Look no further. If you can remove the original drum brake assembly from the rear axle housing, you can install our disc brake conversion kit. After the drum is removed and the axle replaced back in the housing, everything bolts on with zero modifications.

Precision:

All of our primary caliper mounting brackets are manufactured from 3/8” thick steel. We could go with a thinner material to keep costs down but let’s face it, we are dealing with brakes. After the brackets are manufactured, we have them coated with a finish that keeps the brackets from rusting - providing your classic 1969 Chevelle years of good looks and no rust.

Why are disc brakes better than drum brakes?
Disc brakes are not subject to fade from heat or water. Disc brakes do not drift out of adjustment.

What kind of brake fluid should I use?
DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid is recommended. DOT 5 or silicone brake fluid should not be used.

Installation:

Please Note:Must use 15" or larger wheels with this kit. Not all 15" wheels will provide adequate clearance.Included with all brake kits are clear, precise instructions with illustration and photos to help ease your installation.
